I just can't believe we are finished with kindergarten!
I don't know if it was just the normal pace of elementary school life, or having a newborn this year, but I feel like it was all a blur. Just a total whirlwind. It's times like this I am thankful I work hard to keep the blog updated and make up for lost time by posting key events. I would totally forget the entire year otherwise I think.
Anyway, the graduation ceremony was just precious.
The students were told to "Dress your Best" for the program and they all just looked super cute. Kinley decided she needed pretty nails and toes for the program, and I agreed, so off to the nail salon we went. It was so fun watching her giggle like crazy when they did her toes.
The program started with a few songs that the kids had practiced in music class.
My favorite one was set to the tune of "New York, New York" but it was about leaving kindergarten. Think "start spreading the news, I'm leaving today...I'm going to be a part of it...First Grade...First Grade..."
The musical theatre nerd in me just loved it.
Then they had each student walk across the stage and principal Kenny called their name and read what they had said was their favorite thing about Kindergarten and shook his hand and got a certificate from their teacher. Kinley said her favorite part of the year was the kindergarten rodeo with her stick horse "Rosie."
After all the names were called they had to sit down and face their parents and Mr Kenny announced the graduating class of 2027!
Wow. So weird.

Our biggest fan, Honey, came to support
Kinley and brought some flowers.
She loved it.

We went back to the class to see some of their favorite work from the year and take a few pics with her precious teacher, Mrs. Richardson.
We have loved her so so much and are so thankful for her this year.

Kinleys last day of school was a half day and we made sure to get a comparison pic.
She has grown up SO much this year.

After the last day of school, Kinley's class had a family class party at Dove Pool Splashground in Grapevine. It was so fun to just celebrate with her class and have a fun family night splashing around.
Kinley brought all the girls in her class some flip flops and all the boys water squirters on the last day of school and most of the class brought their goodies to the party so that was fun! And little brothers couldn't miss out on the fun!
More Erika and Claire. We sure will miss these girls this summer.
We will have to have some play dates.
