Kinley's Half-Birthday

Today was Kinley's half birthday. I can't believe she is 6 months old. I am getting so sentimental today that time is flying by so fast. I mean, she is already half-way through 1 of her 18 years at home with us....1/36th of her childhood is already past. I just can't believe it. We wanted to make today special so I made a special T-shirt for Kinley, saw some of her favorite people and went to dinner as a family. I can't imagine our lives without her. She is so beautiful and funny and sweet and I am so thankful for every day with her.
Kinley got some 'half-used' clothes from Avery, Ben and Sawyer
and she will be the best-dressed girl around!
We had a "half-day" meal (aka - lunch) with Jen and Eden.

Honey came over to bring a couple new presents for her half- birthday :-)
And at half-past 7 (or some say 7:30) we went out to eat as a family.
This face is hilarious...
I loved making Kinley her 1/2 shirt...so much fun...the iron-on fabric and puff paint was inspired from the good ole Spirit Sister overalls we had to wear in high-school.....not sure why I had those since Kristen and I were kicked out pretty much right away for lack of participation....but, at least I learned something :-)
The finished product!

Happy Birthday Eden!

Kinley's friend Eden turned 1 this week...I can't believe it! She is getting so big. Jen threw a fabulous party with tons of crafts, kids, colors, and friends. We are so thankful to have Eden in our lives. She is so sweet, funny, loving and hilarious. She really is such a ham and wants to make everyone laugh. She is not afraid of anything, so advanced, and reached all her milestones so early. She is so sweet to Kinley and we are thrilled to celebrate a year of life with Eden. We can't wait for all the fun memories ahead. We love you Eden!
The girls in their party tutu's
Kristen let Jen borrow these cute beach balls and the chinese lanterns that she used at the twins birthday party. They were perfect for the party!

just hanging

Kinley is getting so big...I can't believe she is almost 6 months old. She is sitting up everywhere now and so close to crawling. Just a few pics of Kinley hanging around the house lately.

at least we had friends over...

So, even though the Cowboys lost their first regular season home game...at least we had friends over. We were super excited about the game and grilled out with our friends and despite the loss...we still had a blast! We will still be here next week for the 'Boys.Eden was so cute looking like Little Cindy Lou Who with her jam-jams and pony tail.
Lauryn does this pony ride that the girls LOVE!
Eden is practically standing in line for her turn.
Everyone had to dress in Blue and White or in Cowboys attire
Nutella dessert was the hit! A whole batch for Jen and the rest for us to share :-)

sunday afternoon "campout"

Sundays are lazy days at our house and today was no exception. Kinley has been sleeping in her own crib for 3 nights now and the first 2 nights I have to admit, I did sleep next to her crib on an air mattress (night 3 I graduated to the guest room). So...we drug it to the living room, and camped out for the afternoon. It was so fun and Kinley loved it. Ben thought we were a little WT for doing this..but, we might just do it again!

Bryan's Game

Friday night we went to the Richland football game to watch Bryan play like a champ! He is their #1 receiver and so much fun to watch! It was our first time to see Amy since she got engaged...so exciting! But, it was so traumatizing for Kinley! Apparently large crowds of strangers yelling is scary for a 5 month old. It was so sad / hilarious that she just kept crying and crying whenever everyone would stand up and cheer.
She's engaged! The most gorgeous ring ever! She deserved a care package :-)
She finally quit crying when we left the stands

my sweet girls.

Our dog, Haley, is so sweet to Kinley. She is super-protective of her, sleeps right next to her bed every night, and is such a great play-toy for Kinley. She lets Kinley crawl and lay all over her, pull her hair and pat, pat, pat her and never gets flustered. She is so sweet to her and Kinley just loves her. I just had to take some pictures today. I am pretty sure Kinley was a dog-person since birth. I love it!
