Talk about the gift that keeps on giving.
Two years ago the Nordells went in on a silent auction item with us and we each put in a couple hundred dollars and won a trip to Branson for 7 days.
From that trip, the resort gifted us with another 7 day stay this summer.
Best $200 spent at an auction ever!
We moved the trip from June to August this year and it was just perfect!
When it was sweltering and hotter than ever here in Texas, we escaped to the gorgeous Missouri hill country.
We had our same condo as last year on the ground floor where we could walk out the door to swimming in the pool, feed the geese, go fishing off the dock and play mini golf out the front door.
We love our group breakfasts, baths, and kid camp outs in the living room.
Late night board games and talks on the back porch.
It is just so fun!
We even got to watch church on the back porch over looking the lake.
So thankful for the online campus at our church.
Bent Hook Marina and beach is always a favorite place for us.
We lay out on the beach, build sandcastles, make ourselves into mermaids, take out the kayaks and swim in the lake.
Only Ty would find the one rock on the beach in the "shape of the United States" to make sure to show me.
And ice cream for dessert at Big Cedar lodge is a favorite tradition.
We actually went into downtown Branson this year to explore a little.
We took a Duck Tour through the town and lake and the kids had an absolute blast and even got to drive the boat on the water.
We went to dinner in town and explored the area a little like legit tourists.
And we capped the day off seeing "Moses" at the Sight & Sound Theatre.
Seriously, it was a phenomenal show. If you haven't been, you should.
They make the Bible come to life and the actors are legit talented.
Such a fun experience.
Our best souvenir from the trip is "Moses" the snake that Ty and Ry got.
They will never stop trying to make him become a staff.
The last day of the trip was Ryan's birthday and we celebrated all day with breakfast in the condo and lunch at Top of the Rock, the golf cart nature trail and hitting some balls on the driving range.
Top of the Rock is seriously so beautiful.
The grounds and natural scenery is such a reminder of a perfect Creator.
It's breathtaking.
Loved viewing the chapel this time.
So beautiful.
These big boys sure do look like their daddies.

That last night we spent bowling, playing arcade games, riding rides and eating pizza at Fun Mountain on the Big Cedar Lodge property and it was a hit all around.
And who doesn't want to eat late night birthday cake straight from the pan??
Who knows what we will do...but, for now, I sure will miss sunsets like this.
They are pretty hard to beat.
