The kids and I went on our first trip to Kansas to see a K-State game and stay at Aunt Deb's house.
In all my years, I have never been to a home game or been to Deb's house.
She has the CUTEST historical house ever. It is like a dream for me. Old, turn of the century, remodeled and gorgeous.
Her backyard is a sanctuary and I could spend hours there.
She was the best host, thoughtful as always, and we just enjoyed ourselves SO much.
She is beyond generous with my kids and always has the cutest little gifts for them whenever she sees them.
We spent most of Saturday with the K-State game and in Manhattan.
It was so fun seeing Gary's old stomping grounds and putting a visual to all his stories.
My kids were decked out head to toe in K-state attire.
Apparently the "Northgate" of K-State is called "Aggieville" and this was one of Gary's favorite bars in college, Kite's, where we ate lunch before the game.
Taking a bus from Aggieville to the game
I got to sit by Kinley during the game and it was so fun teaching her the little I know about football.
Walking back into the game after the halftime tailgate
We found Pop's brick in front of the stadium
Taking a little break from the bleachers for some rolling down the grass hill and some cotton candy
It was a long weekend with lots of driving in the truck but it was so fun!
Made it to the Texas and took some pics at the rest stop.
Aunt Deb bought these funny gears for Ty and he built with them when he was at her house and couldn't be home 5 minutes before building with them again and he had to take this picture to send to Aunt Deb.
We can't wait to go back!
