A little more of what we did in January
We went to the Perot Museum one weekend with Bart, Olivia, Anson and Honey
cousin hugs
Wish I took more pics!
I hosted January Bunco with a "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" theme and lots of pics of decor and no pics of people.
But, it was fun!
Vegas-type theme and fried chicken for dinner. Yum!
We played outside as much as possible and swung in the swing, rode cars, bikes, scooters and did sidewalk chalk when the weather was nice.
We had a playdate with two of our neighborhood friends in Kinley's class, Jaymes and Brycelynn.
It is nice to have friends right around the corner to come play on a nice day.
Brothers are included in everything at our house. Even twister and picnics.
Ty's ant farm came in!
It was his Christmas present from Uncle Alex and Aunt Minnie.
Alex has been wanting to get it for Ty for a couple years. Apparently ants can't travel when its too hot or too cold.
So, at Christmas Alex showed Ty pictures of the ant farm and described it to him but didn't have the actual present yet. He told him when the weather warmed up his ants would come.
It took me a few times to realize it, but Ty started asking every day to wear shorts.
It was winter and I kept telling him its too cold for shorts. I didn't know if he was uncomfortable in pants or what?
But, one day the weather was nice I told him he could wear shorts in the afternoon and he exclaimed "Yay! My ants can come in!"
Sweet boy was just so excited.
It wasn't that day but, a couple weeks later when the weather was perfect and they came in.
It's so cool watching them tunnel.
Every morning Ty wants to check and see what new tunnels they dug during the night.
Ben and I had an overnight date in Austin one night at Barton Creek with his company.
I treated myself to a spa day and we had a fun night out with some of his new, and old, friends.
We celebrated a lot of occasions in January....
We celebrated McKenna's 5th birthday with an Art Party
We celebrated sweet Margie's birthday at work one day
We celebrated Easton's baby dedication and spent some fun times with him at the house one night
We celebrated Camryn at Sweet & Sassy
We took a break from maids for a while and I instilled child labor to the best extent possible.
Cleaning windows in undies is the way to go.
I think I will bring the maids back and add a little of this in from time to time.
Ben and I went to see Mowtown at Bass Hall
We spent one Saturday morning at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
We mainly just saw lots of animals and ate lunch.
We took this picture of Dylan's hair next to this cow's rear.
Same "cow lick" which so appropriately gives him the nickname "Rooster."
Kids and a cow...Dylan is cheesing and Kinley has a piece of straw in her teeth.
We got to meet sweet Annie Licata one afternoon.
She is just delicious.
We finished off January going to see sweet Carlee in "My Fair Lady" at my alma mater, CHHS.
Ali and Aslynn went with Kinley and I and we got to sit with Heidi.
The play was long but Kinley stuck in their for the long haul. She really wanted to see Carlee at the end.
It was so fun!
Our love for musical theatre is unparalleled.
