I keep telling myself that one day I will not feel like I have to post every single thing we do.
I will quit these monthly recaps and just hit like the 2 highlights of the month...keep the blog more manageable and easier to do in real time.
But, I just can't quit!
I love reminiscing and remembering what all we have done as a family. And there is inevitably something special that hasn't made the blog yet that I want to post!
Like a visit from some of our VERY favorite people!
Jen Fogle and kids were in town for only one night before their family vacation, and we just monopolized their time.
We had a visit to Chuck E Cheese and made them come to the house to see the chicks and kept them up past bedtime on a school night because we just couldn't waste a minute with them.
Dylan and Owen riding trains
Eden and Kinley posing like always
But this card that Jack and Ty made might be my favorite thing ever.
Could NOT stop laughing.
They even found a kid having his birthday there with cake and Chuck E singing, and joined right in like they were invited.
All SIX
Could they be more excited!?
They even made up a spontaneous Best Friends Forever handshake that was to die for.
I might have been just as excited to see this girl as Kinley and Eden were to see each other.
Such a treat!
Move back please!!!
More May birthdays we celebrated...
Rilee & Taylor turned three and Dylan and I had a blast!
Mr. Blue eyes with that blue cupcake
While Dylan and I went to Rilee and Taylor's party, Ben took Kinley and Ty to SR's monster truck party.
We had a post-Rooted dinner in Ft. Worth with our community group.
Love our community group.
Crawfords & Wileys
Love this picture of the Lindseys and Hissams. Ross and Tim are cracking me up.
Brownings, Bajaj's (minus Chris at this point) and us...we missed the Argenbrights who couldn't join
us that night.
Stockyards after dinner
Lindsey's mom wrote a book with some of her friends and a few of us went to the book signing in Dallas to support her.
Went to the Well at my mom's church on Cinco de Mayo and busted out my Mexican dress from the Granbury square a few years ago and wore it to church. I just knew Danny would love it so Amy and I sent him a selfie :)
Spring Soccer ended and we had 2 great soccer swim parties.
Storm party at the Quinteros - Coach Brandon giving out trophies
Vipers party at the Nordells
The best coaches, Cal and Ryan, handing out trophies
Love this team
My favorite part of May was just having a chance to slow down a little after a busy time with work and be mom.
Sometimes I just look in the back of the car when we are running errands as a family and just pinch myself that these are my people. Sometimes I want to just sit and be thankful!
Beautiful Kinley
Summer started in May for this guy and we are trying to have a routine this summer where we work for screen time. Pretty much anything before ipads or TV. He needs to play outside first, do something creative, read books for the summer reading program, work on some math, writing, flash cards, scripture memory, Kinley has to practice piano...anything else first.
We will see how long it lasts.
But, I have got to say, this kid works hard. He actually likes the structure and learning. It is more a challenge for me to challenge him.
School and homework at home is NOT my calling or forte but, I don't want to be the bottleneck of his learning so I am stretching myself to challenge him.
It is hard!
Cuddling Cannon has made me treasure the few days I have cuddling this baby before sleep.
Boys showing off their new haircuts while visiting Alexia.
Dylan loving on Haley...she is the most patient dog ever
Usual day in the life of these three...rolling around on the ground on top of each other...
Love these babes so, so much!
