Ty played his first season of Rec t-ball this year.
Ben was pretty passionate about making Ty wait until Kinder to play baseball.
It was slightly hilarious watching him learn the game and how to play for the first time. He was definitely the kid who was dancing in the infield and throwing his hat in the air and kicking the dirt around.
We had SUCH a fun team full of tons of his friends!
Lots of friends from school and Ryland and some of his friends from his school.
I think we may have had more fun in the stands than they even did on the field.
It was a great first team.
He ended up loving it and was so sad when the season was over.
But, the jury is still out for me as to whether baseball is too slow of a game for him or not.
Only time will tell.
The only true problem was that his team was the Longhorns.
Burnt Orange uniforms and everything.
Encouragement from the coach every week to say things like "Hook 'Em Horns" and craziness like that.
It was a tough time for me but somehow we made it through. :)
It was so surreal being back at the baseball fields after almost a decade since Ben quit playing.
It brought back lots of memories and excitement for the future with our boys.
Ty has quite the cheering section at most games.
We feel so fortunate to have so much family so close.
One weekend my brothers got to come too and watch Ty play where they grew up playing. I think they loved everything about it, except the uniform.
Every game we tried to remind him that you take practice swings in the on deck circle.
Mostly he does this type of stuff.
With Dylan always watching closely.
Doesn't everyone stop by and pet the horses on the way home from a baseball game?
We love our little neighborhood and the little gems around us that make it feel like we are not so much in the big city.
We had an end of baseball season party at the splash pad next to the field we practiced at every week. It was a crazy fun time.
And since we didn't win that many games, there weren't trophies to be had but our coach gave everyone a game ball with their name, the team name and the year.
Pretty cute keepsake from Ty's first baseball season.
Dylan played his first season of organized sports ever.
He has waited years for it to be his turn and he was placed on the most fun team ever with the sweetest coaches and sweetest boys ever. I am not sure there is anything cuter than 3 year old soccer!
He had a blast!
A few sideline friends and family pics.
Loved playing against "friend Dylan." Ty and Connor played on the Vipers together in years past and these Dylans played on the sidelines together.
Now its their turn to compete!
Rainy soccer day. Love watching games with my girl.
Lots of sunny days too.
There's just something special about Saturday mornings at the soccer field
Best Coaches Ever!
End of Season team party at Palio's Pizza with lots of 3 year olds was anything but boring and tons of cuteness.
Showing off their trophies!
This is my favorite spring sport picture.
These are the days ya'll.
They are precious and fleeting and I don't want them to end!
