Hello blogging world....I have tried to put this off for sometime...but, I just cannot resist any longer. After some convincing by friends and family about the wonderful benefits of blogging and after viewing several of the most adorable blogs ever, I have decided to venture out myself. So, a quick introduction of my family......
My husband, Ben, and I have been married 3 1/2 years but have known each other since we were in high school. Ben was 15 and I was 17 when we started dating. Every year we have been together has brought new fun, laughter, challenges, and love. He is the love of my life. Four months ago yesterday we had our first baby girl, Kinley. She is so precious and the last 4 months have been more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. She is hilarious and makes the cutest facial expressions. She is sweet and a people-pleaser already. She laughs and smiles all the time. She amazes us everyday. I hope through this blog I will be able to document memories that are precious, funny and just worth remembering.
Some of my favorite memories with Kinley from the last 4 months:
That first breath and cry after 1 minute of no breathing because the cord was wrapped around her neck twice.
Her first smile was on Mother's Day.
Her first laugh was on Father's Day.
Patrick and Shannon's wedding weekend when Kinley was 5 days old.
I love that my mom wants to see her every day and is sad and misses her when she doesn't.
A trip to College Station with mom to see Matt during Parent's weekend.
A week in Cancun with the Harrison's when Kinley was 10 weeks old...she was such a pro..naps everyday on the beach and not a peep on the airplane.
Middle of the night feedings...some people may hate this...but, I love that sweet time alone with her in the quiet of the night.
Walks in the park with Kinley in the jogging stroller...she loves being outside.
Her first time on the boat...she is a lake rat already.
I love that Kinley's uncles and aunt Alex, Bart, Olivia and Matt fight over who loves her more.
Memorial day and 4th of July at the Halbert's Granbury Lakehouse.
The first time she rolled over after working so hard.
She has 2 teeth already at 4 months and they are so cute!
When she falls asleep on my chest...it is the sweetest thing.
Spending time with her friends Ella, Avery, Ben, Sawyer, and Eden...we are so lucky to have such great friends!
Lunches in Dallas with Bart each week before he and O leave for Boston.
The first time she ate cereal...amazingly she likes it!
There are so many countless memories already and I cannot believe how much I love her. I can only imagine what the future will bring. Just recently Kinley has started sitting in the fun excersaucer that she got from Allison and Ella and she loves it. Here are a few random pics from the past 4 months. I am definitely feeling today how quickly time goes by and it makes me a little sad but so excited for memories to come. So, I made a quick video of Kinley that you can see below. I know the song is a little overplayed but it was too good not to use once. Enjoy and I cant wait to post another update soon!
