The Cotton Bowl

This is a few days late but, I wanted to make sure and post about the big Aggie Cotton Bowl Win! We actually got a chance to go to the game with Kristen and Jeff and it was just so fun! We got to hang out with Jennifer and Joe and Matt and Michael were there and Joe Licata and it was just such a fun night! This season of Aggie football was such an unexpected and exciting year! It was a great way to end the season and watch Johnny Football do his thing.

Playgroup Service Day

I am going to play catch up here for a few posts. One of my goals for the new year is to be more consistent about blogging (and to try to use my camera more and not just my phone).

 

One thing I didn't blog in December that I just can't leave out was our Playgroup Christmas party.

 

We started the day at Donna's and had a pizza party and cupcakes with a Happy Birthday Jesus theme. We also decided to nix any kid gift exchanging or party favors. We wanted this day to truly be about service and the true meaning of Christmas.

 

Instead, we decided to visit one of the assisted living homes that Stacee does physical therapy at and give away these precious door hangers that we made in preparation for the day.

It was truly amazing to see the joy that these kids had in giving gifts and that their joy was received tenfold by those living in the home. These precious toddlers brought life into that building and it was so fun to be witness to.

We all LOVED it and had such an amazing time.  Why don't we do this with every holiday!?  I mean, Valentines favors and Halloween treats!!?  Maybe we will :)

7 years

Just a quick shout out to my hubby. Today is our 7 year anniversary.
The last 7 years seem like a breath to me.
Babe, I love you so much and I am thrilled to be your wife. God truly blessed me with a perfect match in you.

 

It is a little hard every year that our anniversary comes 2 weeks after Christmas.

 To make it a little special I gave him 7 cheesy gifts and 7 balloons with some pictures attached to them of us throughout our life. Kinley loved doing this with me because she kept saying our anniversary party could start once we had the balloons.

And my favorite part of every anniversary is that I make Ben watch our wedding slideshow and video. It is totally dorky but, I just love it every year. Kinley loved it this year. She loved seeing baby pictures of us as kids and definitely watched the entire wedding twice. So fun!

 

Another thing I do like about our anniversary being so close to beginning of the new year is that I can remember another year of our marraige in conjunction with the calendar year. What a wonderful year it has been and none of it could be what it is without you, babe. Here's to 7 x 7 more.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from the Harrisons! These are the family pictures we took for our Christmas Card and for Ty's one year photos. It was a freezing cold day that day and we kept telling the kids to run over, smile and then run back to be wrapped up in a blanket. They were such troopers! I feel so blessed as we close out 2012 and move forward with a new year. I pray blessings over all of you for 2013!
