10 years later...

This weekend was fun and crazy for our 10 year reunion. Most of these pics are all over Facebook or on Lullaby Lubbock...but, I thought I needed to post just a few pics. Here are some cute 10 years later pics of us before the reunion. We kinda took them prom-style since all our pics from before prom were in my mom and dad's backyard. So fun!

It is not possible that tonight is our 10 year reunion from high school.

first invitation creation

I have been quite obsessively playing on our new iMac since we got it on Memorial Day. It is my first Apple computer and I have to say...I LOVE it! I am definitely a big fan. So far, I have been loading all our music and pictures and just figuring out all the differences between an iMac and a PC. Of course Ben HAD to have the 27inch screen...so, it is kind of obnoxiously huge..but, I still love it. It just is crazy to me that the computer is the screen...no tower...no cords...only a power cord. I am so behind the times!
My first couple creative projects on the iMac have been for Mendy and Alex's upcoming wedding. I helped them put together a cute informational flyer about booking travel to their wedding with pictures of them..etc. It was cute. And today I made my first bridal shower invitation! It is not the best....kinda looks homemade...but, it is what we wanted color and theme-wise. My bridesmaid dress is bright and pale coral and they are getting married on the beach in Mexico...so this is what I came up with!

I loved doing this and I can't wait to make some more invites!

family memorial day and a new Aggie!

This Memorial Day for us was filled with fun family goodness!! Sunday night, this cool guy graduated from Richland High School!

Way to go Bryan James Grant! He will now be the 9th Aggie on the Joyner side of our family (including 2 fiances) and we couldn't be more excited!
Bryan's GraduationKinley loved graduation because she got to eat dippin dots the whole time!

Monday we had a great Howe-side get together at Lois and Jack's. It was fun to have 3 babies there! It is fun to see them all interact and play together. Kinley kept trying to give Luke all kinds of love and play with all his toys.

It is sad now that all we do is pretty much stand around and watch babies play. But, I mean...how cute are they!!

Definitely Kinley's favorite thing of the day...by far...was playing "Cornhole" with the boys. She would stand right in the middle and even on top of the goals, try to get the bean bags and stick her hand in the holes. After their turns, she would follow them to the other end and crawl up on it. It was so funny to watch!

Then we all went inside.... to watch them again...Kinley and Aubrey danced and danced to the music table. IMG_2233IMG_2232

We can't wait to get together again soon!

lakerats...and re-furbished furniture

We are quickly becoming lakerats and after a quick turnaround from Kinley's crazy penicillin reaction...we went to the lakehouse over the long weekend with our sweet friends the Fogles.

The backyard has a fantastic "beach" area that babies can just walk right down into the water...play in the sand...and float to their hearts content. It even has a fabulous tree over it during the hottest part of the day so that there is shade for that precious skin.

It sounds gross...but, the last owners left a paddle boat. We totally power washed it and scrubbed it down before we used it..but, it was just so fun! The girls had a blast riding around (even in like 4 feet of water). Even Bana wanted to join the fun on the paddle boat.

We rode on the boat some and Kinley and Eden wore their "Dora" lifejackets and never even fussed just because they had "Dora" on.

All the water play was fun..but, the general silly-ness of two crazy girls was fun too. Kinley loves to climb in and out of the chairs on the deck and kicked around an inflatable ball all weekend. They also found a new hiding place in the kitchen cabinets and Eden dressed herself in one of Ben's cut-off undershirts and a tupperware hat.

We even managed to do a little work while we were there...well, Ben did a ton of work...but, I mainly tried to keep our sick baby distracted and happy! But, we did bring in the furniture I painted and work on Kinley's room some. Since it connects to our room, the decor has to correspond...but, I wanted to make it a little more "kid-friendly." So, here is the before and after for Kinley's room!

We painted the walls grey like our room and brought the white and turquoise in this room too with an added stripe and pop of coral color. It is not quite finished yet...but, an improvement I would say!

And here is our room again with the new lamps and bedside tables that I re-furbished. A before pic is here.

reaction...

Our lack of posts lately has been mainly a result of this allergic reaction Kinley had...
reactionIt was just crazy how bad it got so quickly! We thought at first she had some ant bites on her legs but, it quickly spread into hives all over! Dr. Scott thinks she might have a possible allergy to penicillin...so, we will avoid that from now on.

We had lots of sweet prayers, visitors and well-wishers and we are so thankful that after some steroids and prescription antihistamines that she was doing better quickly.

getting better
While we were stuck inside getting well...I worked on some furniture for our room at the lakehouse....more on that soon!painting

MADE!

I am just so excited that I can't believe it! Thanks to Carrie for and Kristi for letting me know they saw some of my stuff on MADE. If you don't follow MADE already...you should. It is where I get the majority of my ideas (besides the ones I copy from Kris and Al at Lullaby Lubbock)...and it really makes my day that she included anything of mine on her blog!
