CCC Cube

Friday we decided to venture over to our church, Compass Christian Church, and play in the cube! It is basically like the coolest indoor tunnel / slide playground ever! We went with Jen and Eden and had the entire thing to ourselves! Kinley and Eden loved riding on the slide with their mommies and playing by themselves in the 'Tots only' area. We can't wait to go back and play again!

keep your head warm

It has been super cold here this week and that is not so great for a bald, bald baby! But, we are in luck because Kinley has been keeping her head warm with her cute hat from Baby Bliss. It is super warm and looks alot like her friend Ella's from Etsy. I definitely recommend a knitted hat with a flower on it...adorable!

Kinley's new favorite toy is a big box that I found in a closet when digging out boxes to wrap Christmas presents. She uses it like a tunnel and just crawls back and forth, in and out. She dragged some toys in there to play too...like a fort. So creative!

pack in PLAY

This weekend Ben went on a boys Pheasant hunting trip in Lazbuddy. He was so excited to spend time with his family and friends and enjoy hunting after a long semester of school. We were thrilled that he had that guy time. So, we had a girls weekend together! We hung out with my cousins, Josh & Kristy, on Friday, went shopping with Amy for bridesmaid dresses Saturday, and spent time Sunday with Honey & Boss and Gram.

Saturday night after church we went to hang out at Jen and Eden's because Matt was on the pheasant hunting trip too! We had a big girl's night and played and played. The girls favorite thing was playing in the Pack in Play. They laughed and crawled and fell all over each other and just loved it. It is getting so cute to see them play more and more with each other. I just love it!

Catch Up...

It has been a while since I last updated because our computer has been out of commission! Something about our AC adapter not working...and since we now only have one computer after relinquishing my laptop to PwC...we are totally in the dark ages with no computer! I totally have missed the blogging world..so, I am blogging today from my parents house!

A quick update over the last 10 days: Kinley is standing up on her own now! I can't believe she has gotten so big so fast.

I went to Lubbock for Kristen's suprise birthday party! See their blog for the pics:lullaby lubbock That was the first night I had ever been away from Kinley overnight. She did fantastic with Ben and slept all night for him! Yay!

Kinley started clapping too! Now when we say Patty-cake, Patty-cake she starts clapping.




Kinley went to see Santa and it was hilarious! She was not scared of him. She just looked at him and took it all in. But, there was NO way she was going to smile. He was just the jolliest Santa with the sweetest face and demeanor...I mean, he could have been the REAL Santa. But, she was not about to smile....Sorta looks like a mug-shot.

One really special thing we did this week was that we went to see Momma Gay and Pepa! Momma Gay was very excited to give Kinley an early Christmas present and so we went with Honey to see them!

This is a stuffed Santa at Momma Gay and Pepa's house that is as big as Kinley!

Of course the gift bag goes straight to the mouth!

what a trick!

We have these chairs at my house that are REALLY old. I think they were my great-grandmother's. My mom used to have this table and chairs and now Ben and I have it in our house. The seats of the chairs basically come completely out and we recover them like every year or so to match whatever decor we choose. I keep one in my bathroom vanity and was using it today as a step stool in my closet to get a sweatshirt off the top rack. Well, I walked out of the room for one minute and when I came back in...this is what Kinley had done.

Happy Birthday Kristen!

Today is my friend, Kristen's, birthday! It is by far her favorite day of the year and we have much reason to celebrate her! I have known Kristen since I was 6 years old when her family moved in next door to mine. She has been in every memory I have my entire life. Elementary, Middle School, High School, College, Married Life, and now Mommy life. She is as much a part of me as anyone in this world. I love her dearly and I am thrilled that we are still close after all these years. Happy Birthday Kristen! I love you, you are my inspiration, and I wish I was there to celebrate with you!
