Oktoberfest

This weekend Allison and Ella came in town and it was SO much fun to hang out with them!
We went to Southlake Town Center to shop around and have lunch but, we were so excited and surprised when it was Oktoberfest!! There were lots of booths, food, blow-up houses and face painting! Well, we just cannot pass up a good face paint....so we HAD to participate.
We met our sweet friend Jen for lunch and it was SO much fun to see her and catch up!
1-4-3 JenRen!!
Only Southlake would purchase plants to disguise their port-a-potties....and take a look at this Oktoberfest character...he was in the band :-)
Trying to decide what to get on our faces and what the girls will sit still enough for...we decide on one little simple heart.
Allison goes first...and these girls don't do 'simple'...so, the whole side of her face is painted....Ella is admiring it...and a little confused.
This girl jumps right in and wants to hold Ella while she paints her...Ella did GREAT!

Sprinkled glitter was a must!
Well, Kinley's is a little up by her eye...but, we made it through!
So much fun...Oktoberfest wore us out!
So cute Ella! You guys come back soon!!

strollin...

So, earlier this week before the weather turned rainy...we went to Southlake and strolled around the town center. Eden likes to walk now...so we end up pushing purchases in her stroller....and she likes to help push Kinley....so cute.
So helpful!
Kinley, one day you will walk too...no need to act too cool for school.
What a cute mommy / daughter pic!

Happy 'Mend'sday

So, lately I have determined that Kinley needs blackout shades in her bedroom in order for her naps to reach full sleep potential. So, today Jen helped me use a sewing machine for the first time to create some curtains for Kinley's room. We basically just sewed some fabric to store-bought blackout shades....but, it worked.
Eden was totally ready to help us measure
Kinley...not as helpful...but, excited!
Ta-Da! These will offset her striped pink bedroom nicely!
Kinley loves them!

weekend fun.

This weekend we made a trip to Canton 'First Monday Trade Days' on Saturday and it was a long day of walking around and looking at tons of stuff. She ate great and took naps on the way there, in the stroller, and on the way home. Kinley was a champ and did great in her stroller and in the Baby Bjorn! It was Ben's first time to use the Baby Bjorn and he was such a sweet daddy to carry her around. Sunday we went to the Dallas Bridal Show with Amy to look around and get inspiration for her wedding next July! So exciting! Kinley was a perfect angel again , however there was one lady that gave us the stink eye at the bridal fashion show because Kinley was squealing with excitement....how dare she stifle her happiness :-) I am so proud of her and am amazed everyday at how big she is getting. Then Sunday afternoon Pops and Gram came over for the Cowboy game and rounded out the weekend.
Apparently it is bright inside the Dallas Convention Center.
The Bride-To-Be!!!!
Kinley got Pat the Bunny from Aunt Lisa and Uncle Rick that Pops and Gram brought from Florida this weekend. She loves to read! Thanks guys!

Family Birthdays

Friday we had September / October family birthdays at the Grants house. They have an amazing new patio and deck area and the weather was perfect for outdoor grilling and fun! Happy birthday Boss, Uncle Jimmy, Bryan, Scott, and Danny! We missed Bart & Olivia but, it was nice to see everyone else. Kinley had a blast with all the family, puppies, Halloween cups, and especially the tissue paper from the presents!
Kinley and Uncle Matt had a blast playing together!
Ready for bed...but, cannot tear her away from the tissue paper!
Aunt Jan is so sweet and so much fun and always gets down on the floor to play with Kinley and make her laugh. Thanks Aunt Jan!
