Bye, Bye Bart & Olivia

Today was Bart & Olivia's last day in Dallas. We went to help them move out of their apartment and into a Uhaul that they are driving to Boston. We are so excited for them and for all the adventures ahead of them in Boston and at Harvard. Kinley had a great time rolling around on the floor of the rooms we were emptying out. We love you guys so much and can't wait to come visit you!
Taylor brought over her dog Nelly and Kinley LOVED it!
In case you were not informed, moving day attire is a white v-neck tee and nike shorts....actuall a coincidence for Emily, Taylor and I but, definitely the perfect fit for matching Monday.
We are all exhausted after moving all day!

Bart is taking a little Texas with him with the deer head and a cowboy hat. I know Olivia is as thrilled as I am to have a deer head on the wall.
Bye guys! Drive Safe and we will see you soon!

Happy Birthday Aubrey!

Kinley's sweet cousin Aubrey Grace turned 1 year old this week and today was her party. There were so many fun friends and family there to celebrate. She is beautiful and sweet and put on a great show! The theme for the party was pink princess and everyone at the party wore pink. Well, Kinley and I kind of LOVE a theme and went all out to match from T's to toes. Thanks Aubrey for such a fun day! We love you and have been so thrilled to watch you grow this year.

Pops & Gram's House

Thanks Pops & Gram for letting us come over last night! It was Kinley's first time to take a bath over there and she went to sleep so well! She also LOVES her chair over there. It is her favorite one to sit in. She kept getting so distracted while eating her cereal because she kept hitting those toys over and over. Hilarious!

Bitter Beer Face

Kinley's latest trick is what we like to call the 'bitter beer face.' It is hilarious. I remember my sweet friend Allison's little girl Ella had a bitter beer face too and it was so cute! I will try to get her to send an old pic also for comparison...so hilarious! Enjoy.
As promised...here is Ella's bitter beer face for comparison...haha!!

The Ranch

This weekend was Kinley's first trip to East Texas. Mom, Dad, Ben, me, Kinley and Matt went to visit Inie & Bull. It was a wonderful weekend to spend time with them and to visit the Ranch. We had good food, good conversation, a few games of 42 and a trip to the ranch. Here are a few pics of our weekend. I am trying to upload the video that is super cute too! Check back later! We love you Inie and Bull!

Kinley loves Inie's dog Jim Bo
Inie put her baby doll's hat on Kinley.
Matt got to brand a piece of wood with Bull's Flying H Brand...I know that has to hurt the cows!

Cousin Jeremy made this Flying H piece of wood for Bull's shop

This is the train car that those crazy boys sometimes bunk in when they come hunt the ranch....no way would I be in there!

Bull built some new big green shelves in the barn

Kinley also loves Bull's cowdog Trey

Four Generations

Bull let us know that he is the first person in his family since they came over on the boat to America to see his great-grandchildren!

Call me Martha

So, yesterday was a total Martha Stewart day for me filled with cooking, crafts, cleaning and building things. I am not the most domestic of wives but, the past 2 days in a row I have cooked dinner and that is a big deal...so, I decided to document yesterday.
My sweet brother and sister-in-law gave me this cool memory box for some of Kinley's special things and it has a foot imprint maker. So, we did crafts yesterday and molded Kinley's footprint for the box
So cute!
Then we put together her high chair for those soon to be baby food days :-)
Then we cooked Chicken Pot Pie for dinner which was eaten by me, Ben, Lauryn and Landon and I am told it was fantastic!

Like I said, just call me Martha!

Nick & Sam's grill

For the last 2 years since Bart graduated A&M and started working at JPMorgan Chase in Dallas we have had lunch every week or every other week. I never knew how special those lunches would be to me. We have grown really close during these last couple years. We have walked all over downtown Dallas during lunchtime, ate at many different places and talked about everything. We ate at Subway and La Madeleine in the E&Y building, many different places in the Plaza of Americas, a few times with Jessica at the Dallas Museum of Art, all over Uptown at Pei Wei, PD Johnson's, Which Wich, etc. We went to eat at St. John's cafe and he watched me practice singing at Dallas Baptist Church before his wedding. Sometimes we had other people come with us...sometimes just us. Either way, it has been a blast. Ever since Kinley has been born Bart has made the effort or coordinated the effort to see her every week...I know he has never gone more than 10 days without seeing her. It has been so much fun. And our weekly lunches have led us the last 4 months to Nick & Sam's grill everytime. Mom and Kinley and I go pick Bart up and we go Nick & Sams. We love Nick & Sams...we always sit outside...Bart always orders the special...we always make sure to get the sweet potato fries and it has bee a blast. Today was our last weekly lunch with Bart before he and Olivia move to Boston. It was a really special day because our whole family got to go. Mom, Dad, Me, Bart, Matt and Kinley. Bart, we have had so much fun with you and will miss these lunches so much. Have fun in Boston and find a good place for us to go to lunch when we come visit you. We love you!
