Father's Day

We spent Father's Day weekend at the lake house with the Harrison's. It was a fun family time and we enjoyed endless water activities. I am so thankful the lake is up this summer. We boated, jet skiied, paddle boarded, paddle boated, ate, walked and celebrated. We celebrated Mendy's birthday Saturday night and Father's Day Sunday.

Kinley loves a party just as much as I do and we brought some decorations from home to set up for Mendy's party. We didn't have any tape to tape it up so we ran to dollar tree and she insisted on party favors for the guests too!
Why didn't I think of that??
I can't do a party without her.

Sunday morning we had a big brunch to celebrate Ben and Gary and it was so sweet.
Ben is just the best daddy to our kids and I am beyond thankful for him and how he loves and leads us.
They were so excited to give him the presents they had made him in school and saved until Father's Day and he did what he does best and was just beyond grateful and excited that they did something special for him.

We have always wanted to stop at this farmers market on the way to the lake house and Ben suggested it on the way home Sunday and it was such a great time! The owner, Harry, was so nice and let the kids each pick whatever they wanted in a basket for free.
We will definitely be stopping again in the future!

Sunday night we celebrated with Boss.
Which for some reason we didnt get any pictures with.
But, we did get ample pics of Dylan and Anson together.
We just can't help it.

I did sneak this cute picture of Boss cuddling with Kinley and Dylan on the couch after dinner.

Michael and Caroline's wedding

AKA - date weekend for Ben and I! We know that we will have all the kids during Matts wedding weekend so we lived it up during Michaels with babysitters two nights in a row!

We spent the rehearsal dinner at the George Bush Presidential Library toasting the happy couple! It was a beautiful, fun and emotional night. I love all those speeches. They make me cry every time. Sweet Matt and Michael don't have a memory in life without each other so it was just a special night.

We ran into Christopher and Tiffany when we were shopping for Ben's summer sports coat for the rehearsal dinner. We ended up splitting a buy one get one free jacket deal with them at Men's Warehouse. It was our most fun shopping experience ever and such a win win for everyone.
Aren't they so handsome!?

The wedding night was lots of fun too but I didn't take many pictures! The wedding was gorgeous and Caroline looked absolutely beautiful. Kristen was so gorgeous as a bridesmaid and Patrick did a fantastic job as best man and Jeff performed the ceremony.
It was just perfect.
We danced the night away with emerald city band and it was just the most fun!

We can't wait for Matt & Sandy's wedding next!

Camp Thurman

Kinley went to her first summer camp the week after school let out.
It was a full-day all week long Christian day camp in Pantego, Camp Thurman
It is such an understatement to say she loved it!
She jumped out of bed each morning and could not wait to go.
We went to tour the camp as a family on Saturday before her camp week and out of hundreds of camp staff just happened to get her counselor as a tour guide!
It was such an unexpected blessing for Kinley to meet her and have a friendly face on Monday morning at camp.

We took turns carpooling with some other friends throughout the week and we loved passing back and forth carpool pics of these precious girls.

Kinley came home telling stories, singing songs and reciting their scripture verse. She got to swim multiple times a day, do obstacle courses, zip line into the water, watch the counselors put on shows and and so much more. She is already asking to go back next year and I can't wait to sign her up!
