As usual after each of my children's birthdays, I am overwhelmed with feelings of thankfulness and joy just thinking of the people that bless our lives. I mean, Ben and my children are God's biggest blessings in my life and being a mom I feel like truly is God's plan and mission for my life. But, I am just so thankful that I get to do this alongside so many incredible family and friends.
And, it was such a joy to celebrate this boy. I mean, if this face does not mean a successful party than I don't know what does!?
The boy loves donuts.
And man, did we have donuts.
This is what Ben picked up Saturday morning.
But, I think it turned out to be a delicious display.
These Apple Donuts were such a hit! I just cored an apple and sliced it horizontally, and Mendy....in her cake decorating talent...put some peanut butter in an icing bag and decorated these "donuts."
I just loved the donut display so much!
And the cake...thank goodness I have an incredibly talented cake designer in my family in Mendy because I could not throw a party without one of her cakes! I sent her a pic of this over a month ago and she showed up the night before and busted this out so easily. So, so cute!!
The kids wanted to show it off too...
Oh how this boy copies his big sister...even in her picture poses.
I had a few activities for the kids to do at our house. I set up the donut crayons Kinley and I made with a coloring page.
This gigantic inflatable donut pool float was one of the first things I purchased for the party and I set it up as a game where the kids could throw a sock donut of their choice through the middle and then keep their sock donut.
And as if we hadn't eaten enough donuts yet...we headed outside for another donut eating game. We strung powdered sugar donuts on a line between some trees in the front yard and had the kids line up, choose a donut, and eat it without any hands. I handed out the party favors before this game so the kids wouldn't get all their cute clothes messy and I love all the cute matching pics too.

Ty LOVED this game. He was outside ready to play before anyone else and went down the line donut after donut and just took one bite out of all of them.
When our plastic tee ball bat didn't bust through, they used the pull strings to get the candy all together.
After games, we headed back inside to sing Happy Birthday. This boy loves to blow out a candle, so he was a pro at that this year.
I can't get over this party! It is absolutely perfect! I love everything! I am so sad we missed this one! SO so fun! You did an amazing job and I can't stop looking at all the pics!
